Luis Bertos pays special attention to the urban landscape and architecture where he finds what interests him most, perspective and light.
Bertos evokes in his paintings the architectural roundness of some buildings that are submerged in a subtle expressive fog and whose perspectives become a play of light and shadow capable of building space and the city. Exaggerating what interests him and discarding the accessory, the artist transforms the anonymous and uninhabited streets into personal and nostalgic places.
Since 1993, the painter has participated in various collective and individual exhibitions, both in Granada and Madrid, obtaining various awards and scholarships.
Second prize in the XII National Fast Painting Contest of ‘El Retiro’ 2010.
Scholarship in the course of painting of the Ibero-American Headquarters, International Ibero-American University, International University of Andalusia, La Rábida, Huelva, 1996.
Prize, First Accésit, Painting Contest in Monachil, Granada, 1996.
